Members of our North Sydney corporate office recently stepped away from their desks and into the kitchen, volunteering at Our Big Kitchen (OBK) in Bondi as part of a Corporate Cook Up initiative.
Our Big Kitchen is a remarkable community organisation that produces thousands of meals each week for vulnerable individuals, families, charities, and community groups. Powered by volunteers and supported by organisations across Australia, OBK provides practical assistance to those experiencing hardship while fostering connection and compassion within the community.
During the session, our team rolled up their sleeves, donned aprons and hairnets, and worked together to prepare two nutritious meals:
- Summi’s “Scrumptious” Curry
- Dessy’s Curry Express
These meals will now be distributed through OBK’s extensive network, helping provide comfort and nourishment to people who need it most.
The experience was about more than preparing meals. It provided an opportunity for team members to connect outside the workplace, strengthen relationships, and contribute to a cause that makes a tangible difference in the lives of others.
