Services
Coal
We provide customer specific haulage solutions for the coal industry across multiple supply chains.
One Rail Australia provides complex coal haulage services in the Hunter Valley Coal Chain from numerous operating mine sites to the Port of Newcastle (Port Waratah Coal Services and NCIG). We also provide haulage services for domestic end users.
We offer:
- A substantial Hunter Valley operation including a contemporary fleet of equipment comprising C44ACi class locomotives and thirty (30) tonne axle load bottom drop coal wagons.
- A large crew base (including operations management, maintenance and operational support staff) located in Newcastle to support our Hunter Valley operations.
- A crew base (including operational and maintenance support staff) in Mackay to support our new coal haulage operations in Queensland - providing the same high levels of operational integrity, safety and reliability as our Hunter Valley services.
- Extensive experience managing ‘live run’ of coal services to both ‘turn of arrival’ and ‘stockpile’ based ports, as well as domestic users.

Bulk
We provide tailored solutions across a diversified commodity mix of minerals and agriculture.
One Rail Australia provides our customers with in-house expertise in all aspects of above and below rail operations, including:
- Over 35 train starts per day.
- Ownership or control of over 52 active locomotives and ~1530 active wagons along with several maintenance and support facilities, terminals and other operational assets;
- Relevant track operations and maintenance capability;
