At One Rail Australia, we are committed to building meaningful relationships with the communities in which we operate.
Our corporate values determine that we act with genuine intentions and a One Team approach, and we very much apply those philosophies to how we engage with the people, not-for-profits, and charities in and around our operational footprints.
Our Community engagement initiatives include:
- supporting our One Rail Australia people in their sporting or community-related projects
- providing funding to causes that align to the focus areas identified by our people
- the implementation of a Community Support Program
Community Support Program
One Rail Australia officially launched its Community Support Program in 2025.
Our Community Support Program (CSP) provides one-off grants of up to $5,000 to local charities, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations that deliver programs and projects that support and benefit the communities across the Hunter and Mackay regions in which we operate.
The program will accept applications for funding assistance twice a year – in March and September.
To make sure One Rail can support as many local organisations as possible, groups will now be eligible for one grant per calendar year. With the growing demand for community services, this approach helps us spread support more evenly and ensure our region continues to grow and thrive.
