We are pleased to announce the appointment of Jarrod Baker as Chief Operating Officer of One Rail Australia, effective 5 January 2026. This appointment has the full endorsement of the One Rail Australia Board and reflects not only Jarrod’s exceptional leadership capabilities, but also the strong internal talent base within our organisation.
Jarrod first joined One Rail in early 2023, taking on the role of Manager Maintenance for NSW and Queensland. Since then, he has played a pivotal role in restructuring and redefining our maintenance operations, implementing a more systematic, strategic approach to asset management that supports reliability, safety, and performance of our Rollingstock.
Jarrod brings to the role a wealth of experience in supply chain operations, strategic asset management and maintenance leadership, built over many years in the rail and coal-chain logistics sector. His previous six years with the Australian Rail Track Corporation provided valuable exposure to rail operations at scale, which enhanced his deep understanding of safety, regulatory compliance, and operational logistics.
Throughout his career, Jarrod has demonstrated a consistent commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and building strong, capable teams. He values investment in people and supports individual development, which aligns strongly with our core values.
As COO, Jarrod will lead our operations function, driving operational excellence, elevating maintenance standards, optimising asset management, and ensuring that we continue to deliver safe, reliable and efficient rail-based haulage services for our customers and shareholders.
